Risking Life

In front of his students, a teacher recounted the experience of meeting a former World War II war veteran.
One day, the soldier had to work on a forest road project in Myanmar. The flight distance is quite far and long. To get rid of boredom as well as take advantage of free time, the workers play gambling with cards. Initially they bet with the currency and assets attached to their bodies. Well, the longer it goes on because there's nothing more at stake, they bet with their lives. The loser must jump out of the plane without using a parachute. Imagine! "How terrible and cruel they are!" shouted a student hearing the story. "That's true," replied the Master, "but that makes the game even more fun!" Then he continued to speak, "You can only be grateful for life if you have risked it."
