Future
Once upon a time, there was a child who asked his mother, “Mother, my friend told me that her mother always let the mosquito bite her own hand until the mosquito was full so it wouldn't bite my friend. Are you going to do the same thing?"
The mother laughed and answered frankly, “No. But, I will chase every mosquito all night so it doesn't have time to bite you or our family."
Hearing the answer, the child smiled and resumed his playing activities. Not long after, the child turned back to his mother. Suddenly she remember something. "Then Mom, I heard a story at that time that there were mothers who were willing to not eat so that their children could eat their fill. How about mom?" The boy asked almost the same question.
This time the mother replied in a firmer voice, “I will work hard so that we can all eat until we are full. So, you don't have to have a hard time swallowing because you see your mother is starving.”
The child smiled again, and then hugged his mother affectionately. "Thanks Mom. I can always lean on Mother.”
While stroking her child's hair, the mother replied, "No, son! But I will educate you so that you can stand firmly on your own feet, so that you will not fall on your face when Mother is no longer by your side. Because mom can't always be with you."
How many parents among us often feel willing to sacrifice themselves for the sake of the baby? Are we not aware that such an attitude can dull the brave mentality of the child?
So, it is wise if all parents not only make themselves a place to lean on for their children, but also make that support no longer needed in the future.
